Candice Kempton
Candice Kempton has been playing fiddle for many years. She played with several performing groups in California before recently relocating to Utah. She teaches and works full-time in the music department at The Book Table.

Genet Brown
Genet has been playing bass for about 10 years. She also plays dulcimer, tin whistle and clarinet. She teaches for Cache Children's Choir, and has fun chasing around her son Landon and keeping track of son Zach and husband Shane.

Kristin Day
Kristen graduated from BYU in music. She teaches violin and enjoys playing with Sassafras. She is a busy mom with three adorable little ones at home.

Marianne Sidwell
Marianne plays guitar, dulcimer, folk fife, piano and flute. She has her fingers in a lot of pots these days, what with working, teaching and running her four children around to lessons and activities. Being a part of Sassafras, however, and playing her Gibson guitar is her therapy. Her husband, David, says if she didn't have the chance to perform, she'd probably be an axe murderer!

Betty Leishman
Although Betty’s first musical instrument was the accordion her mother bought from a door-to-door salesman, the banjo is her true love. She began serious study of the banjo while her children were small. Her sons grew up believing all moms played the banjo. Betty has played in folk groups and bands, accompanied choirs and stage productions, anywhere the sound of the banjo is needed – which, of course, is everywhere!!!
